As a huge sceptic I took this film with a pinch of salt, however I did enjoy the fictional aspects of the movie and as a horror story in its own right. Often the truth is far more frightening than reality and the fact that there are several unexplained events in the story will leave even the hardiest sceptic thinking again or quickly tappping away for information from google.
The story is based around the true events of a female psychologist from Nebraska. Her husband she believes was murdered by an alien race and this leads her on a crusade to find out the truth about possible connections with her patients. Did she unwittingly manipulate her mentally ill patients to make the cause of her husband's death more believable? Let's just say I wouldn't want to call her a liar to her face, she's lost her daughter, and from the footage is obviously harrowed by the whole ordeal and needs aound the clock care.
The facts are for you to decide and although the movie is obviously heavily biased in the direction of Aliens there is more than plenty of room for the sceptic to laugh at the often weak plot. However as a scary movie this gets top marks... put aside what you believe and just enjoy the movie, think Ripley, think Alien Horror Movie... that's what you're getting here.
