History

In most experts minds their are two phases or rather time periods associated with Cannabis/Marijuana Prohibition. The first period covered in the below article is the one most people are familiar with. This is the time period most call Reefer Madness Part I, the period where all the insanely ignorant and downright laughble propaganda began. You know the period full of racism and scientific ignorance not too mention the Federal Government needing something to do with their prohibition sector since the failure of alcohol prohibition. Ironic seeing that marijuana has been so demonized and it's far more dangerous cousin alcohol seems to have escaped a short prohibitinary period unscathed and embraced into our socities.

The below article was something we found over at www.drugwarrant.com, the author Pete Guither does an excellent job of explaining Reffer Madness Part I. Part II will appear next month and be written by us, it will deal with Phase II of Cannabis/Marijuana Prohibiton...the late 60's ushered in the beginnings of part II, this is when the shit begins to get out of control thanks to Dick Nixon.
